The What Do You See? Is a DVD available from Amanda Waring.com. Amanda Waring is the co-author of this training DVD which depicts a woman who is pleading to be seen for who she really is; she is not ‘just an old woman’ but someone who has lived a full life, has feelings and emotions.
Virginia McKenna voices over the poem (attributed to a nurse, Phyllis McCormack written in 1966). The poem is written from a first person perspective which makes it more personal and touching. Though not specifically related to Dementia, the DVD does reinforce the value of providing person-centered care.
