Koki was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in her early forties. Her experience focuses on her contact with healthcare employees in hospital and primary care settings. There are six short chapters in ‘Koki’s Experience’.

    Koki describes difficulties she experienced in being listened to by healthcare professionals, the consequence of which was a problem with her medication.

  • Koki chapter 6: Conclusions and summary

    Koki describes how she would like to be regarded as a person by the healthcare professionals she encounters rather than "just a number".
