The overall purpose of this learning programme is to ensure that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who support people in care homes:
- are aware of the type and range of services they can provide
- have an understanding of the policy and strategic developments that influence the provision of support to people in care homes
- are able to work with care home staff to deliver safe, effective and appropriate treatment to people in care homes.
