Guidance on apprentice and trainee assistant practitioner roles

The guidebook has been designed to help current staff who are either undertaking an apprenticeship or foundation degree or are considering it, and managers who are either already supporting these staff or are considering it.

It provides an introduction to work based learning, and explains the responsibilities of each individual involved in shaping the experience for the learner.

The guidebook aims to maximise learning during the work based learning experience and identify further resources for support. It’s just like an e-book, and you just have to click to turn the pages. Both learners and managers should read the document through and take notes if appropriate, but most importantly the guidebook is there to refer to throughout the learning process.
