Safeguarding vulnerable adults

Safeguarding is part of everyday nursing and midwifery practice - and is everyone's responsibility.

Keele University School of Nursing and Midwifery has developed its procedure for safeguarding vulnerable adults. It has also developed and implemented its whistle-blowing procedure and guidance.

This has been done in partnership with Stoke and Staffordshire County Council's adult protection partnership team and local placement providers University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust, North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Community Healthcare and North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust.

This downloadable resource - Safeguarding vulnerable adults - summarises this procedure and provides the contact details of the lead.
